So with only 8 days till the Grand Prix kicks off in Canada the teams are in full swing preparing for the first practice. McLaren racing director Eric Boullier reckons that they’ll be taking a leap forward in the competition. With a new team philosophy and new upgrades, we will have to wait and see!
Mclaren aren’t the only ones with new upgrades, Ferrai is feeling confident with their plans and are expecting to have big improvements in overall speed compared to Monaco. But even with these developments, it may not be enough, they will have to see how they compare to the other teams upgrades.
Mercedes keep developing their car in the hope of maintaining their dominance in the competition. For Monaco they had a new front-wing endplate. The front wing by regulation is 75mm narrower per side than last year. The detail change at the rear is to optimise the airflow going around the outside of the front tyre. It will be interesting to see what they do for Canada.
