Pontiac set to market with the G8 GXP in 2009 and has become a consideration in the efforts for an “affordable” high performance car.
With a whopping 6.2 litre V8 engine, this 6-speed, 415-hp vehicle has a fairly impressive 4.5 seconds 0-60. Not too bad for the $30,000 price tag. This car sits in a in the realms of a reasonably priced elite car, yet in the UK would cost you a lot to fill up your tank.
The Pontiac G8 series has between 13/20 mpg and features Bluetooth as well as heated seats for those cold mornings. It comes with front, side and head air bags as standard as well as breaking assistance and electronic break force distribution.
The clutch is said to take some getting used to though yet once you are its supposed to be a relatively smooth drive. Once the car is getting moving its breaking is said to be excellent and the handling is good but with a noticeable tipping point.
